Many leadership roles ask you to grow what already exists. This one offers the chance to create something that will matter for years to come.
The University of Canterbury is preparing to open Takurua, a major new sport, recreation and wellbeing facility that will transform how students move, participate, connect and experience wellbeing on campus.
As Takurua Centre Director, you will lead UC Recreation and Sport through this transition and establish the strategy, operating model and leadership culture that will bring the new facility to life. Leading through an experienced management team, you will connect Operations, Sport, and Health and Fitness around a clear direction while ensuring people, systems and services are ready for opening day.
This is an opportunity for a senior leader who can see the bigger picture while turning ambition into a realistic plan. You will inherit strong foundations, but also genuine scope to shape how Takurua operates and the contribution it makes to student life for years to come.
Explore the opportunity and help define the future of recreation, sport and wellbeing at UC.
